Assessment of Suicidal Mental State & Suicide Risk
The Galynker Center offers unique evaluations that include a detailed assessment and staging of mental processes that make suicide possible using the Narrative Crisis Model of Suicide framework.
What to expect from an assessment:

-
Our evaluations are conducted by two center clinicians – a psychiatrist and a psychotherapist.

-
We ask that all our clients bring a treatment partner of their choosing to the evaluation. The treatment partner can be a parent, sibling, spouse and/or friend who knows the client well and is able to provide an additional perspective to the evaluating team.

-
Prior to evaluation, patients and treatment partners are asked to fill out several questionnaires that will be assessed and scored to help guide clinical decisions.

-
The evaluation takes place over the course of one 2-hour appointment.
